Tumbling Classes
Gymnasts are the best tumblers in the world. All of the tumbling classes are taught with gymnastics progressions. These gymnastics progressions, drills, and techniques have been used and perfected over the many years of transition and detailed analysis by gymnastics professionals and biomechanics specialists.
Beginner students age 5 years and older learn proper technique for basic body positions, flexibility, conditioning exercises and spatial awareness.
There is also a focus on proper technique for basic tumbling skills such as: rolls, cartwheels, walkovers, and beginning back handspring drills.
Many special training aids and stations will be used: octagon mats, wedge mats, tumble trak, trampoline, spring & rod floors, etc.
Intermediate students age 5 years and older learn proper technique for basic & intermediate body positions, flexibility, conditioning exercises take off and landing drills, and spatial awareness.
There is also focus on proper technique for intermediate tumbling skills such as: walkovers, dive cartwheels, and beginning back handspring drills, standing back handsprings, standing back tucks, front handsprings, and round off back handsprings and combinations.
Many special training aids and stations will be used: octagon mats, wedge mats, tumble trak, trampoline, spring & rod floors, etc.
Advanced classes are by invitation only for students age 8 years and older.
Advanced students learn proper technique for intermediate & advanced body positions, flexibility, conditioning exercises take off and landing drills, and spatial awareness.
Students learn proper technique for advanced tumbling skills such as: round off back handspring tucks, layouts, & twisting skills. Front handsprings, front saltos, & tumbling combinations.
Many special training aids and stations will be used: octagon mats, wedge mats, tumble trak, trampoline (with overhead spotting rig), spring & rod floors, safety pits, etc.
